Pirri Itinerary

The itinerary will highlight the historical events from the birth of the former City Hall, then the seat of the District Council, built in the early decades of the twentieth century and which, at least until 1927/1928, retained its prerogatives as the seat of the Pirri City Council, then the seat of the District Council and, until recently, the seat of the Municipality, and the main twentieth-century monuments.

The itinerary includes: the site of the old City Hall at 35 Riva Villasanta Street, The Consumption Duty in Italy Square, the outdoor space of the former Glassworks and the former Distillery via Italia/via Ampere, the Monumental Cemetery on Murat Street, Church of St. Peter the Apostle and Church of St. Rosalie.

Visitors will be free to determine the origin of visiting the monuments. At each site there will be volunteers on hand, in some cases they will be actual storytelling voices telling the history and some particular events of the Pirri Municipality.
