Visit to the historic center of Arzachena – urban trekking

Starting from St. Peter’s Church, we will dwell on the exhibition currently housed in this ancient place of worship, and then set off on our trek to visit the most significant identity sites in the old town, formed in the late 18th century on the ruins of the ancient medieval village called Arseguen.
Crossing Risorgimento Square we will visit the ancient church of Santa Maria della Neve and the Bread Museum, an old local bakery.
We will cross the “Stritta di lu Banditu,” recalling the ancient stories told by the recently deceased famous centenarian Agostina Panzitta related to this unusual escape route of the famous bandit Laicu Roglia.
Crossing Corso Garibaldi, we will reach the newly set up staircase of Santa Lucia, not forgetting to make a brief stop at the Fountain of the Hero of Two Worlds, Giuseppe Garibaldi.
The urban trek will end at 11:30 a.m., in Risorgimento Square.
