Built in 1943, the Cala Moresca bunker represents an important historical and military vestige of the area, located where Capo Figari meets the crystal clear sea. Abandoned for more than seventy years, it was recovered in 2014 thanks to the passionate efforts of Tonino Ena, who transformed it from a coastal defense post with machine guns to a reference point for nature hiking, environmental protection and sustainable tourism. There are seven hiking trails in the surrounding area and canoeing, often encountering dolphins between Cala Moresca and Figarolo. Tonino personally takes care of maintenance and cleaning, proving that dedication and passion can transform a degraded place into historical and natural heritage. Golfo Aranci is home to other bunkers and a gun emplacement at Punta Filasca, all from the same period.
