Canon Putzu House

Along the road once called via Dritta is the 19th-century house of Canon Felice Putzu, church historian and director of the Archbishop’s Archive of Cagliari.
The building rests on stone foundation and plinth, while the structure is made of unbaked bricks (làdiris).
The exterior has a wide front, an imposing portal and two orders of windows decorated with floral friezes.
The building has two levels and a series of accessory rooms, following the typical courtyard layout of the Campidanese house.
The Map of the Royal Army Corps (1845) shows the floor plan of the entire building.
Characteristic of this domus are the Art Nouveau frescoes that adorn the vaults of the rooms on the second floor.
Purchased in 1989 by the municipality and undergoing a lengthy renovation, it now hosts various cultural activities in addition to the banquet (su cumbìdu) of the Ancient Selargino Wedding.
