The church of Santa Lucia stands about a kilometer away from Assolo within a picturesque olive grove. The building documents numerous remodels carried out over the centuries, but its earliest layout, evidenced by mighty perimeter walls in opus africanum, can even be attributed to the 7th century. The facade, punctuated by three doors with round arches, is surmounted by a small bell gable; inside, the nave appears to be flanked by two small aisles, both with arches. On the right side is the sacristy, while all around, in addition to the characteristic cumbessias, there is the presence of an important archaeological area with traces from the Nuragic to the early medieval period with notable remains of roads, dwellings, burials and even a well. A short distance away, a complex nuraghe emerges whose village extends all the way below the church.
