The church of Our Lady of Monserrato is located in the region of Montesile, in the town of Ittiri. As with Our Lady of Mount Carmel, there are records of the building from the 17th century although it is likely that its first construction phase is earlier. It has simple forms: a single nave divided into three cross-vaulted bays supported by four large pointed arches set on pillars. The church has undergone renovations in more recent times: it was lengthened the central body, and the facade was redone in a more forward position. It bears a bas-relief with the emblem of the Virgin below which is the date 1904 referable, most likely, to the time of the enlargement. The elevation and its square-bore bell tower are undoubtedly the most interesting elements of the building. Inside the church worthy of note are a large wooden cross from the church of Santa Croce, no longer extant because it was destroyed during the years of fascism, and a well-made statue of the Madonna and Child. The church was home in the 1600s to the penitential confraternity of Monserrato: the brethren, dressed in their habit, participated in the procession and evocative rites of Holy Week.
