Church of St. Andrew

The Church of St. Andrew is located on the far outskirts of the town, at a slightly elevated point from where part of the town center can be seen. Of modest size, the building probably dates from the 7th or 8th century, in Byzantine style, built for the most part with volcanic stone. For a long time in a state of neglect, the church in recent years has been recovered with restoration work. A committee was formed to honor the saint with Solemn Vespers and Holy Mass.
