Church of St. John the Baptist

The church dates back to the 16th century and was built on an earlier small church dedicated to the saint, inaugurated in 1630 in the late-Gothic single-nave cruciform style. The roof was wooden and the façade lower and narrower, without the bell towers. Of the original configuration, the pointed arch entrance from the phytomorphic capitals is preserved. At the beginning of the 19th century the majestic dome and barrel vault were built and the last chapels were completed where, in 1922, the precious Retable of St. Mary (16th cent.) attributed to Mainas was received.
