Church of St. Mark

The country church of St. Mark is adjacent to the Nuraghe San Marco and the urban park.

The date of construction is unknown, presumably around the 16th century.

It consists of a single nave and outside is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees.

Holy Masses are celebrated in the small country church on the occasion of the festivities of St. Mark the Evangelist, to whom the people of Genures are particularly devoted, which take place on April 25. On the same day, as per tradition, the surrounding countryside is blessed, invoking the protection of St. Mark and thus wishing for a good harvest.
