Rising on the remains of the Arborea Castle on the shore of the Mar’e Pontis pond, the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta dates from the late 15th century. Built in late Gothic forms, it originally had a single nave with a truss roof and wooden beams covered with tiles.
