According to some scholars it is the oldest church present on the hill that houses the village.
Stylistically, the structure is characterized by locally remodeled late Gothic influences.
Signs of the older building are still visible in the various plugged openings.
It currently has a single nave divided into three bays with pointed arches and cross vaults.
The bay next to the chancel, perhaps because it pertains to the original church, is significantly narrower.
The arches and pillars are built of limestone blocks, with capitals lacking decoration.
In the center of the apse is the altar built of tuff and marble.
The statue was restored in 1993 and is located in the parish church of the Immaculate Conception.
The solemn feast is celebrated on the day of the Holy Trinity, that is, the octave of Pentecost.
