The ruins of the ancient Church of St. John the Baptist, in the locality of “Sa Fossada,” fall on the plateau not far from the village overlooking the domus de janas . It is difficult to provide a certain dating, especially since only masonry in the state of ruins now advances, however the perfectly eastward orientation of the presbytery, together with the masonry technique, would suggest that it was a building remodeled in the 17th or 18th century on a pre-existing medieval one. Near the ruins stands the modern church, built in the 1960s. It is a plastered stone building with stone reinforced sides, lit by large windows placed in the upper part of the main nave and the rose window on the facade, placed in line with the architraved portal, on top of which is a bell gable. The interior is adorned with a simple mensa altar and a recently made painting depicting the baptism of Christ.
