At the foot of the Giara di Gesturi, in the municipal territory of Sini, is the Cracchera Municipal Park, created in 1982 in an area characterized by dense vegetation in which there are centuries-old holm oaks, downy oaks and cork oaks.
The network of cobblestone paths and small stone buildings, (some used by shepherds to shelter livestock) are evidence of the close relationship between the forest and the people of Sini.
Breathtaking views can be enjoyed from some points in the park, and during periods of heavy rains the Su Strumpu waterfall can be seen. A number of important nuraghi are easily accessible from the park: Sedda, Pedrosu, Bucca Scala and Scab’i Ois, which testify to the strategic importance of the area in the Nuragic period.
