The spirit and traditions of the Carabinieri of Sardinia are a living and deep feeling, the bond that unites the island and the Weapon has ancient roots that make our institution, a fundamental part of society; the attention that institutions pay to the presence of the Carabinieri Stations and the hope that they place in them, derives from one of the skills that the Carabinieri have been able to express, since 1822, pacifying a rugged territory, poor in natural wealth but rich in pride and respect for traditions.
Awareness of this and respect for those who, in the 200 years of the Carabinieri’s presence in Sardinia, have given their lives in respect of the oath they took, overcoming difficulties of all kinds, have led us to a profound historical research of the events that have characterized the history of the Carabinieri, through historical documents that will be studied in depth and then used to improve the knowledge of all Carabinieri, so that we can truly feel that we are heirs of splendid men who on so many occasions have given their lives for the weapon and for Sardinia.
The photographs, letters and certificates of merit of hundreds of carabinieri that we have collected and reported, leave no doubt about the real heroism of men who, on the sense of the state, founded their lives, in respect of values such as PATRIA HONOR AND JUSTICE.
