The Interprovincial Technological Center for Digital Fabrication, also known as FabLab, located in the artisanal zone of Bitonto is the largest publicly owned digital fabrication lab (with 3D printers and digital pantographs) in the Mezzogiorno. Thus was born in 2018, at the intersection of local and global, within the Bitonto artisanal zone, the FabLab Poliba, an interprovincial digital fabrication lab, a territorial hub for continuing education. A space for dreams that allows to cross looks aimed at the future without forgetting the past of tradition, from which digital fabrication is inspired to solicit the creativity of digital artisans 3.0. The FabLab is now also a laboratory location for research and experimentation for students of the Bari Polytechnic University, which signed a collaboration agreement in 2016 with the Municipality of Bitonto for the scientific management of the Technology Center.
