The Bitonto FabLab, opened in 2019, is a digital fabrication and coworking center born from the collaboration between the Bitonto Municipality, Bari Polytechnic and ARTI Puglia. Located in a converted industrial building, it promotes innovation, training and connections between research and business.
The ground floor houses laboratories with CNC milling machines, 3D printers and collaborative robots, while the upper floor houses coworking spaces and a conference room. The furniture, made using the same digital fabrication techniques, embodies the philosophy of “making to learn.”
Sustainable design, the use of recycled materials and energy efficiency make the FabLab an example of urban regeneration and the link between technology and the land.
