Former Distillery of Sebastiano Boi

In the early 1900s, Antonio and Sebastiano Boi’s distillery was born, considered one of the earliest examples of the Campidano wine industry.
In 1911, the distillery became part of the Anonima Vinalcool company, of which Sebastiano Boi was the president.
With the arrival of war and the death of Sebastiano Boi, the plant became troop quarters, storage, and an aircraft repair shop.
Despite several attempts at revitalization, the plant was closed in the late 1970s.
It was the municipal administration in 1978 that took charge of the restoration of the facility.
The Si ‘e Boi Square, following renovation and enhancement work, is now home to a composite cultural center.
