Fort of Tharros Street

The blockhouse is located on the hill on Tharros Street and is called Caltanisetta. Its distinguishing feature is its camouflage as a water tank. Externally it has vertical concrete protrusions that simulate the structure of a tank. It is connected to other forts in the stronghold by a covered walkway, part of which can be visited thanks to the work of volunteers. The entire area of the stronghold is now urbanized, accessible from Tharros Street, and there are three surviving bunkers, including one located at the top of the hill, still intact and easily accessible.
