Artist Gianni Argiolas was born in Monserrato in 1947. Study, practice and his passion for art have made him a multifaceted artist. Artistic production is varied and diverse, ranging from painting to graphic design, sculpture to stained glass, ceramics, and goldsmithing. From 1972 to 1975 he worked in Spain between Madrid, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona, participating in group shows and mounting no less than five solo exhibitions. He then worked in France in Nimes, Toulon and Paris, with significant artistic experiences before returning, permanently, to Monserrato. Argiolas’ works, more than 1,000 in number, can be found in many centers on the island. Beginning in 2003, Argiolas has been passionately dedicated to the creation of an art park in the Isca sa Folla locality in Dolianova, in a plot of land where some five thousand pine trees and more than 150 tree essences have been planted, which provide a splendid setting for his sculptures.
