Hypogeum of Tanca Borgona

In the urban center, near the Renaredda beach, is the hypogeum of Tanca Borgona, excavated in 1947 by Giovanni Lilliu. With 32 burials dated between the 3rd and 4th centuries AD, it features a central room with a ceiling supported by two natural pillars. The walls show traces of painted plaster, with geometric decorations and fragments of a quadriga. Burials in the floor were covered with mosaics with epitaphs, while many recovered funerary inscriptions are on display at the Turritan Antiquarium.
