The study of the poet S. Satta is now preserved within the Sardinia section of the prestigious library named after him. The collection consists of books, manuscripts, photographic plates and various pamphlets. Part of this heritage is displayed in remarkably well-made displays and showcases: handwritten poems, notebooks and personal effects of the poet.
The library holdings of the “Sebastiano Satta” library include about 156,000 volumes, 250 periodicals, over 4,000 videotapes. The Sardinia section was established in 1994 (the building housing it is owned by the Region).
Rich and valuable documentation: more than 10,000 volumes on Sardinia, journals of local interest (including from the 1800s and early 1900s), video library, old books, donations from distinguished fellow citizens, microfilm archive, and access to online databases.
