“Migrants” Mural – Andrea Sabiucciu (2019)

The mural depicts two little girls wrapped in the embrace of friendship and integration. The first, a five-year-old Sardinian girl, proudly wears the traditional dress of her homeland, while gently supporting on her legs the second child, of Nigerian descent, only one year old. This symbolic gesture of solidarity and welcome embodies hope for a future in which ethnic diversity will no longer be a reason for discrimination, but rather will be celebrated as a cultural richness to be shared. The mural is an invitation to cultivate love and brotherhood among different cultures so that future generations can live in a more inclusive and respectful world.
