The mining collection, donated to the town of Ossi by the heirs of Carlo Ventacoli, is the result of a life dedicated to research and passion. Consisting of 1946 pieces, housed in 8 display cases, it offers a fascinating journey into the beauty of our planet. The collection includes minerals, gems and fossils from every corner of the world, with a special focus on treasures from Sardinia and Italy. Among the most notable specimens are polychrome agates, pyrites with high reflectivity, quartz of various shapes and colors, desert roses with their intricate lamellae, amethysts with deep violet reflections, hematites with a metallic appearance, chalks with their transparencies, and fossils that are witnesses to different geological eras. Also of note are pieces from as far away as Brazil, Colombia and the former Soviet Union-each a piece of a fascinating geological mosaic.
