Monserratoteca

Monserratoteca celebrates the 500th anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci’s death with a bibliographic exhibition that can be visited from May 2 to June 16. There are about 40 works dedicated to Leonardo. Instead, 3D reproductions of the machines conceived and designed by Leonardo are displayed in the display cases. For schools, reservations can be made for viewing the docu-films featured at info@monserratoteca.it.

Thanks to Nicola Pisano for providing some of the reproductions of Leonardo Da Vinci’s paintings and drawings. The city library has been established since the early 1990s. In 2002-2003, it underwent a major renovation and expansion of the old structure. Inside it has a bulletin board with information on cultural events and happenings in the area and the Biblio-Youth-Utility board with information on work, education, study trips and other activities. It has a 20-seat reading room, where the Sardinia section, newspaper library, multimedia stations for adults, and @ll-in Sardinia service are housed. The reading room is equipped to host meetings, presentations and screenings. The library also has a dedicated room for the Children and Youth Section, with two multimedia stations and 16 seats, and includes a small 15-seat an theater, used for reading activities.
