Monumental Cemetery

Located on the outskirts of the town, not far from the town center, the cemetery is distinguished by its well-kept facilities and simple tour route. Inside, several ancient graves, in neoclassical style, dating back to the second half of the 19th century, still find their place. Of particular interest, right at the entrance, is the tomb of the Diaz family, lord of Usini, with the imposing marble sculpture in memory of Giuseppe Derosas. The work depicts a child behind a plow pulled by oxen, intent on working the fields. In all of this, there emerges the particularity of wanting to represent the wealth of the family that gave luster and prosperity
to Usini but, above all, their great humility in being workers of the land, as still witnessed by the treasures kept in the Court of Casa Diaz.
