Not far from the Church of San Narciso a plot was identified for the original Cemetery used until the early twentieth century, when it was replaced by a new structure known today as the “Monumental Cemetery of Serbariu.” Of the former, memory had been lost until 2002, when, following earthworks and cleaning, the poor remains of the ancient inhumates came to light. Hence the desire of the Municipality of Carbonia to transform the site into a square with a memorial.
