Mural “Luigi Castiglioni”

The space in front of the mural was occupied for the first half of the twentieth century by a small, low building that served the functions of a school, only to be torn down in the 1960s. The large, bare wall left vacant, which became the primary visual point of the small square in the Theodore center, was painted with a large mural in 1975. The artist was Luigi Castiglioni (1936-2003), a Milanese painter and graphic designer, known for working as a set designer with Fellini and a sports illustrator. The mural, which occupies an 80-square-meter area of a private building, is entirely devoted to marine themes, dealt with in a poetic and surreal way.
