The nuragic site is located in the locality “Su cuccuru de i Zannas” situated on the outskirts of the town.
is a pentalobed nuraghe provided with an inner courtyard, whose first implantation belongs to the Final Bronze Age to which several phases of reuse have been superimposed, ranging from the late Punic to the Roman-Republican periods.
Close to the monument stands a Late Antique – Early Medieval settlement frequented at least until the 7th century AD. This municipal administration, with the support of students and researchers from the University of Sassari and the coordination of the Archaeological Superintendence, has provided for the resumption of excavations that have allowed the recovery of numerous interesting finds.
