Nuraghe Monti Fulcatu

The monument, located on the edge of the border with the municipality of Monti is abundantly collapsed, stood in a dominant position (402 m a.s.l.) from which there is a wide visual control of the surrounding territories, from the hinterland to the sea.
The area is purely granitic, dominated by holm oaks and Mediterranean scrub.
No elements can be recognized that could be traced back to the planimetry, probably of simple type, or ascribable to the category of “protonuraghi.”
The outer face, largely collapsed, consists of medium-sized granite boulders, slightly hewed and arranged in fairly regular rows.
Only small wall sections can be identified; on the southern slope, the outer outline consists of a large outcrop of natural rock, incorporated into the margin of the building; the shape and size of the inner chamber completely cluttered with collapse material cannot be determined.
Also for this monument, since no excavation work has been carried out, a habitation and strategic-defensive function can be assumed; the chronology can be ascribed to the Bronze and Iron Ages.
