The monument is located within the urban fabric. Its location and the evidence in the vicinity denote a typical characteristic of this territory, pioché all the nuraghi rise on granite rock outcrops located on plateaus or hills, which by now have been incorporated within the urban fabric (recall the nuraghi of Biscollài, Monte Gurtéi, and the still existing nuraghe Ugolìo).
Archaeological excavations of the site, by the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of the Provinces of Sassari and Nuoro, date back to 1961. Further excavation and restoration work was eseguio in 2005.
The nuraghe is a single tower built of polyhedral granite blocks with a tholos roof. Inside the chamber two opposing side niches. Two steps of the entrance staircase, which ran inside dl wall face, can still be seen.
