The old St. Francis hospital complex is characterized by the rationalist style of the facade embellished by the old wooden door with wrought iron and glass sashes, inserts and fanlight. It is dominated by the solemn staircase that evokes the one built in 1930. To the right and left is the green, bordered by 1950s holm oaks.
The original flooring, in Venetian silt, recurs in this structure as in other nearby historic buildings, the Asproni classical high school and the Satta humanities high school (formerly the magistral school).
The large room with a semi-hexagonal elevation and large windows at the corner of Brigata Sassari Street, as well as another within the wide perimeter of the ancient gritstone, show what architectural choices succeeded one another over time.
