In the redevelopment of the historic center of Milis, the houses have been preserved in their entirety with their black basalt stone walls, ochre and brown tiled roofs, and all the enclosure walls executed “a secco,” and the road surface has been restored to the ancient cobblestones with the “Impedrau” system.
The fertility of the territory of Milis is evidenced by the presence of no less than three fountains within the village: that of Barigadu, Funtasa Manna and Funtana intru.
From all three fountains flows the water of Montiferru since the village rises right at the foot of the mountain.
Within the historic center we find sa “Pratza de sa brigungia” where a statue from the 1980s stands as a reminder of a much older practice that testifies to the way in which the community exercised some form of justice on its own.
