Parish Church of St. Peter the Apostle

The church stands in the interior of the village, on a short rise from which it overlooks a wide square recently restored. The scarcity of historical information does not allow for a faithful reconstruction of the church’s history, time and manner of construction: it was probably rebuilt in limestone in 1615, in transitional forms between the Gothic and Renaissance styles, with late Gothic forms prevailing. The canvas representing the Crucifixion of St. Peter is a faithful copy of Caravaggio’s painting by a 16th-century Sardinian artist.
