The Pasolini house, located in the center of the town, in the historic neighborhood of “Mesu Bidda,” represents one of the most important buildings for twentieth-century Villacidro.
It was built at the beginning of the last century in one of the blocks affected by the major late nineteenth-century works of urban rectification of Via Roma also following the construction of the Decimomannu-Marrubiu provincial road, today Via Nazionale. The large Pasolini court house, now a civilian dwelling, despite some recent renovations still shows recognizable signs of the historic headquarters of the Carabinieri (from 1924 to 1956) and the offices of the distinguished notary Pasolini. On the occasion of Open Monuments, it will be possible to attend the performance of the City of Villacidro Musical Band.
