“Peace Park” stands on a lot built in the 1960s to house elementary schools. Having ceased that function, the building hosts different activities and undergoes various interventions. In 2021, the Municipal Administration decided to move the Town Hall there and make the town an air of community interest. Tearing down all previous fences created a new attractor system and an opening of the institutional building to the village, making it a new hotbed of events and thoughts with memory to its original function as a place of teaching, culture and knowledge. The garden is of the “Dry Garden” type called “natural”: it is created through the planting of Mediterranean species and/or related to that environment. Sustainability, beauty and respect for resources are enhanced by the use of tree species that design the layout, creating a dynamic landscape over the hours, days, seasons and years, with a reduced maintenance burden. The absence of chemical weeding and seasonal blooms have repopulated this space with pollinating insects such as butterflies and bees.
