The house, built in the second half of the 1940s, contains all the features of traditional Ittirese architecture of a landowning family of that era. The ceilings feature Art Nouveau-style wall paintings by Painter Dessena, who produced many similar works in the village between the 1940s and 1950s. In addition to floral motifs, there are paintings of swallows, a rare example of the presence of animals in the paintings of those years. The cellar contains the ancient tools of agro-pastoral art, and the courtyard contains animal shelters and a stone washhouse. The home will be the perfect setting for the bride’s home during the Manos de Fainas pro s’affidu initiative, which will reenact the “Su Coju” engagement ritual in the 1950s. It will be a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the culture and traditions of a bygone era, discovering the beauty and authenticity of this precious historic home.
