The Mill owned by the Cadoni family was, until a few decades ago, the most important in the town, as flour for local needs was produced.
The building, dating from the late 19th century, is located in the heart of the historic center, close to the public washhouse and the Murgia distillery. The three-story production building has a large courtyard in front of it, now an ideal venue for numerous cultural events. The facility is currently managed by the Giuseppe Dessì Foundation, which has set up there an exhibition of Giuseppe Dessì’s paintings and a library composed not only of volumes belonging to the Foundation itself, but also from donations by illustrious personalities, such as former Cagliari Mayor De Magistris and noted scholar of Dessì’s works Franca Linari.
