The house known as “S’antiga domu de is Pianus” dates back to 1660, the same year Baron Gerolamo Torrellas, founder of the new Capoterra, had the village church built next to his baronial palace. The house was built with su “Ladiri” and for some load-bearing walls the ancient technique of “Sa Tapiera” was used, that is, wooden caissons that were filled with mortar made of mud, straw, stones and wooden beams. The building is one floor above ground and was known for this as “Su primu susu de sa Bidda.” A legend exists for this building: the legend of a buried treasure SU ISCUSSORGIU. In that building are preserved an ancient grain grinder, a broad bean mill, su lacu, and various agricultural implements. The building is owned by Mrs. Puddu – Piano Maria Bernadette.
