Sa Mandra ‘e sa Giua Nuragic Village

The nuragic site stands on the eastern outskirts of the town, in the Litterai district. The enclosed area includes a village of huts surrounding the nuraghe, where the central tower is visible.

The nuraghe consists of an older central tower, built between 1400 and 1300 BC. Two smaller towers bordered by a small courtyard were built on either side of the tower.

The most important part is located about 30 meters from the nuraghe: it consists of five huts divided into several rooms, connected in a central space. One of these is called the “House of Bread,” and it is a small circular room surrounded by rectangular seats and tubs. In this space there is an oven adjacent to the rotunda that was originally intended to be covered by a conical roof.
