Sa Tanca De Santu Ainzu

In the past, the estate was included among the properties̀ of Duke Antonio Manca dell’Asinara, feudatory also of the Marquisate of Montemaggiore, which included the towns of Thiesi, Cheremule and Bessude. It was the nobleman Don Enrico Garau Boy, in 1864, who bought the farm from the Duke’s heirs. The property is currently owned by Maria Isabella Puggioni Garau who runs the agritourism there. Sa Tanca covers about 80 hectares, mostlỳ covered by a centuries-old forest of oaks and holm oaks. It will be possible to enjoy picturesque views, admire the only Romanesque church still intact in the area named after St. Gavino; the nuraghe; the stone quarry; the large lime kiln; and the old farm structures.
