The Church of San Michele di Sorradile is located in the upper part of the village, called Cort’e Susu. The earliest planting of the church dates from before the 11th century, while later planting can be traced back to the 15th and 16th centuries. In some archival documents the church is referred to as Santu Miale. Both internally and externally, the façade with ribbed bell tower suggests a typically Romanesque structure. The ashlars are of different sizes, and the facade is centrally enriched by a peculiar octagonal rosoncino. The interior of the church has a single nave with a recently reconstructed wooden truss roof. The only reminder of the ancient building is on the back wall of the chancel where a Renaissance niche stands, which has a statue of St. Michael inside, dating from around the 18th century. According to documents in the parish archives, the church was the oratory of the Confraternity of the Holy Cross. The novena in honor of St. Michael takes place from September 20 to 28.
