The country church dedicated to St. Peter Martyr of Verona, locally called Santu Petru, stands on a scenic hill in the locality of Lu Capruleddu, from which it is possible to admire the sea, the northern coast of the island and the wide Gulf of Asinara in the background. About half a kilometer away from Trinità d’Agultu, it is easily reached via a paved road that departs from the provincial road SP 74 for La Paduledda – Isola Rossa. Built between the 18th and 19th centuries, it has the typical architecture of other country churches: it has a rectangular plan, simple gabled facade and a small bell gable, positioned above the only entrance in the front side. Inside: a single nave divided into three bays by two round arches supporting the roof.
In the back wall is the altar composed of three grade and four niches housing the simulacra of St. Peter of Verona, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Pancras and St. Stephen the First Martyr.
