The ethnographic museum located on Republic Avenue was born out of the passion of its founder, Luigi Stara. For more than 40 years he has been researching, collecting and restoring everything that tells about the life and people of the past. The collected material, more than 4,000 objects, is organized in 30 themed boxes and showcases, covering an area of about 300 square meters. Most of the sections talk about arts and crafts, and among these the most documented is that of the farmer, but there is also a rich section devoted to the home and domestic life. Each section can be read as a chapter in an evocative, fascinating, and even a bit nostalgic book. These are household utensils and working tools related to the daily life of the inhabitants of Bosa and Planargia, dating from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Items related to agro-pastoral, seafaring, and craft activities are represented, as well as household and religious furnishings illustrating various aspects of local culture. Stara Museum, has collected a large number of objects destined for oblivion and has taken it upon itself to transform them into memory, with the aim of delivering it especially to young people.
