State elementary school “Don Pietro Papagallo”

First school building established after World War I, in 1932. The building is very simple and straightforward in its architecture, with two entrances-one on the right side and the other on the left side. Having an educational institution was very important for the Terlizzi community. Inside there was the opportunity to be able to learn to do math, reading and writing. The building, and its life had to face the Second World War, at the end of which it was damaged but was later renovated in the early 1950s.
It was at that time that the entire community felt the need, through the school to recognize itself in such beloved character to the community as Don Pietro Pappagallo, priest and victim of the massacre of the Fosse Ardeatine. Thus in a joint session on March 21, 1951, the school was named after Don Pietro Pappagallo.
