The urban exhibition opened on September 30, 2018 in the historic center of Golfo Aranci pays tribute to German photographer Marianne Sin-Pfältzer. She came to Sardinia in the 1950s and was fascinated by the authenticity of the local community and unspoiled landscapes. Her archive of more than 100 shots, taken between the 1950s and 1960s, chronicles the everyday, spontaneous life of fishermen and their families. The exhibition follows an itinerary among symbolic places such as Casa Padiglia, Casa Piro, the former Fishermen’s Cooperative, Casa Corallo and Domo Mea, highlighting the most authentic identity of the village. Via dei Caduti, the town’s first coastal road axis, is home to the historic fishermen’s homes that arose after the first settlement in 1883. The photos are accompanied by testimonies from residents and a documentary video on the photographer’s personal and professional life.
