The structure originated as an arrival station for the transport convoy from the nearby iron mine.
The station and other premises of the old railway shed were later converted into an agricultural manor house by the Villahermosa family.
After years of neglect, it became part of the municipal heritage and was completely restored for use as a multipurpose center.
