The village is divided by the Rio Piras River and the road the “Rettifilo.” This was built in the late 1800s by Mayor Porru Bonelli to create a street in front of the Town Hall, built around 1870. To make the road, houses and courtyards were torn down, creating a perfectly straight road through the village and ending at the foot of the Gradinata hill. The mayor asked the population to participate in the construction with a certain number of work days.
