Tola Square

The ancient Carra Manna Square, later Tola Square, of medieval age, was rebuilt in the 17th century after clearing the space of the buildings that insisted on it. The square was also used for the market, which became permanent in 1833 and for a short time was called Herb Square. There are several palaces of fine architecture including the Renaissance Palazzo Manca d’Usini from 1577, current home of the Municipal Library. In the center of the square is the marble monument of Pasquale Tola (1800 – 1878).
