Old Milese House

The presence of a house museum stems from the idea of wanting to make usable the collection, over the years, of numerous tools and everyday objects whose use and memory have been lost by the passage of time. The museum was born in the renovated premises of the old “store of Aunt Picchicca” (Francesca Manunta), in Milis. In making it, the intention was not to show a “collection of antique objects” but to reproduce a house “as houses were in ancient times,” furnishing and equipping the house with the everyday objects that families had on hand.
