A unique opportunity in this edition of Monumenti Aperti 2022, is the inclusion of Cinema Vittoria in Uta’s monuments trail, with its past history and future project.
The Historic Hall, closed since 1985, will finally reopen. A long history that of the “Vittoria Cinema,” the hall was opened in 1948 between Montegranatico and Santa Giusta streets – the heart of the town’s historic center – by Mr. Emanuele Loche, then inherited by his children Irma and Aldo and son-in-law Giuseppe Podda.
The project, carried out with ministerial funding, will return a gathering place to the people of Uta and surrounding towns.
The hall will host at least 150 film shows a year and is also ready to hold theater, music and school events.
Welcoming visitors outside the cinema will be the beautiful mural “The Magic of Cinema” by artist Davide Pils, inspired by the film “New Cinema Paradise,” representing what is magical about cinema.
