Monuments in Music and Entertainment

Monuments in Music and Performance this year features more than twenty events scattered in many places around the city.

Saturday, October 26

In theArchaeological Area of St. Eulalia, Via del Collegio, 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., every 20 minutes, there will be a multimedia sound guided tour with a walk through the archaeological site accompanied by the reproduction of environmental sounds by the pupils of Secondary School I.C. “Satta-Spano-De Amicis” Plesso Manno.

A traveling Jam Session titled “JAMManno: Manno in Music, Music in Marina” will be held in Cagliari’s Marina district from 3:30 to 6 p.m., starting from Manno Middle School, 14 College Street, and ending at St. Eulalia Church.

At the Citadel of Museums, Red Hall, Arsenale Square, 1, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be musical performances by students of “Ugo Foscolo” Secondary School.

At theMirella Mibelli Archives, Fornovo Street, 4, at 5:30 p.m., there will be musical performances by students of the Liceo Artistico Statale “Foiso Fois” high school.

A tribute to Franz Kafka entitled The Dream of Gregor Samsa, curated by Arcoes APS, will be held at the Teatro Istituto dei Ciechi, 102 Nicolodi St., at 5:30 p.m. Reciting voices choir directed by Fausto Siddi. The performance will be preceded by a presentation of the Theater of the Institute of the Blind and its history.

In the Church of the Purissima, 130 Lamarmora St., at 6 p.m., there will be a musical intervention inspired by the church that houses it and the figure of Mary to whom it is dedicated, by the A.P.S. In Cordis Jubilo Polyphonic Chorale.

At the University Palace, Aula Magna del Rettorato, Via Università, 40, at 6 p.m., there will be choral interludes of music from around the world by students of theIstituto Comprensivo Statale Satta-Spano-De Amicis pesso Spano.

At the Royal Palace, Palace Square, at 6 p.m., there will be a musical interlude by the Carrales Choir directed by Maestro Giuseppe Altea with an original repertoire in the Sardinian language.

At Sa Manifattura, Contemporary Hall, at 6 p.m., there will be a musical performance by the orchestra and choir of the pupils of the“Randaccio-Tuveri-Don Milani” State Comprehensive Institute of Cagliari.

In the Church of Sant’Efisio, 14 Sant’Efisio Street, at 7 p.m., there will be a performance by the Music Association Collegium Karalitanum Choir titled “Sa limba mea est musica” with a repertoire of folk-inspired songs from Sardinia.

In St. Augustine’s Church, 80 Baylle Street, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a musical performance by theAss. Polyphonic Music Cantores Mundi conducted by Maestro Roberto Balistreri together with the Campidano choirs from Assemini directed by Maestro Franco Cocco and Koob from Rome directed by Francesca La Via.

At Sa Manifattura, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be musical interludes by the guitar, clarinet, piano and percussion classes ofCagliari’s “Randaccio-Tuveri-Don Milani” State Comprehensive Institute.

In the Metropolitan Library “Emilio Lussu,” Via Mattei s.n.c., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., there will be musical performances by students of the transverse flute, classical and modern piano, classical and acoustic guitar courses of the Suoni e Voci Cultural Association – Music and Singing Study Center.

At Palazzo Siotto, Via dei Genovesi, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., there will be short musical interventions by the guitar, flute, percussion and piano students of theState Comprehensive Institute No. 1 Quartu Sant’Elena .

In the Crypt of Santa Restituta, Sant’Efisio Street, at 11:00 a.m., there will be a musical performance by the pupils of the“Colombo” Comprehensive Institute.

At the Lazzaretto in Cagliari, Via dei Navigatori, 1, at 11 a.m., a musical moment will be held by theAssociation Music Chorale Notes in togas.

In the Cathedral of the Most Holy Martyrs, Palace Square, at 12:00 noon, a sung mass animated by theAss. Polyphonic Music Cantores Mundi conducted by Maestro Roberto Balistreri and the Koob Choir of Rome directed by Francesca La Via.

At Palazzo Siotto, Via dei Genovesi, from 4 to 6 p.m., there will be a performance by the student choir of theState Comprehensive Institute No. 1 of Quartu Sant’Elena .

At the Tuvixeddu Archaeological Park, Via Falzarego, at 5 p.m., there will be choral interludes of music from around the world by students of theSatta-Spano-De Amicis pesso Spano State Comprehensive Institute.

In the Church of Santa Maria del Monte, at 6 p.m., there will be a musical intervention of sacred music for piano, soprano and tenor by theFriends of Music Association.

At the University Building, Aula Magna Rectorate, 40 University Street, at 6:15 p.m.,Glee’s Association will offer a musical moment with songs from Sardinian and Irish folk repertoire.

At Sa Manifattura, Contemporary Hall, at 6 p.m., there will be a musical performance by the orchestra and choir of the pupils of the“Randaccio-Tuveri-Don Milani” State Comprehensive Institute of Cagliari.

In the Church of Sant’Efisio, 14 Sant’Efisio Street, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a musical moment with a repertoire of sacred and secular music by the Choir of theMusical Association “Nuova Armonia” of Selargius directed by Maestra Valeria Busu.
